This is a list of projects I have worked with. The main purpose of the projects has been technologies used at work or home to automate tasks and lower costs.

I can't go much in depth with some projects due to non-disclosure reasons. On the other hand, projects done at home for learning purposes can be way more in depth and extend to where second-hand hardware stays cheap and available.

What is OpenCL and what it is used for?

OpenCL (Open Computing Language) is a framework for writing programs that execute across heterogeneous platforms consisting of central processing units (CPUs), graphics processing units (GPUs), digital signal processors (DSPs), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and other processors or hardware accelerators.

How to harvest the power of most brands GPUs

Install OpenCL on Linux

Install the development headers, libraries, and the vendors SDKs. As simple as running a few commands on debian to start harvesting the full power of your GPU.

All you need is a C/C++ compiler, cmake, the Khronos canonical ICD loader, and your GPU SDK.

A simple addition program using the GPU, the code is explained but to understand at full the program you need to know the basics of OpenCL. This program is just for the sake of running a simple addition using the GPU

OpenCL Platform Information

Each OpenCL platform is an implementation of OpenCL on a company hardware. Because OpenCL is an application programming interface (API) each brand chooses how to implement it on their hardware.

GPUs, CPUs, FPGAs, and other kind of accelerators.

OpenCL Platform Devices Information

In OpenCL, a device is any processing unit within a platform that can execute parallel code, such as a CPU, GPU, Digital Signal Processor (DSP), or specialized accelerator.

Nvidia Grid k1 has 4 really modest devices.
